Research use policy

Who can buy

Organizations and individuals conducting legitimate laboratory research, who set up a research account and are at least 21 years old. Examples: commercial and analytical laboratories, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical research organizations, academic institutions, contract research organizations and independent research businesses.

Permitted use

In vitro and analytical work: assay and method development, analytical reference standards, cell-free or cell-culture studies, and structural or physicochemical characterization.

Not permitted

• Administration to people, including yourself.
• Veterinary use or administration to animals outside an approved research protocol TO CONFIRM: whether any in vivo research use will be accepted — counsel.
• Use as, or in, a food, supplement, cosmetic or drug.
• Resale to consumers, or compounding.

Guidance we don’t give

We can’t answer questions about personal dosing, preparation for personal use, how to administer a product, which product to choose for a personal goal, or expected effects in people. Our team will point you to product details and our supplier’s test results instead.

How we enforce it

Every research account is checked. Every order is checked separately, even from approved accounts. Orders that indicate personal or human use are cancelled and refunded, and the account may be suspended. Some orders are held for review before payment.
